All sales will be split between Trans Lifeline and GLAAD’s transgender media program. Morris announced via her Instagram story that the shirt had raised $63,000, surpassing $100,000 in just 15 hours.

Carlson’s insult stems from an ongoing feud between Morris and Brittany Aldean, wife of country star Jason Aldean. On Aug. 23, Aldean posted a video of herself wearing makeup, writing, “I really appreciate her parents for not changing her gender when she went through her tomboy phase. ” captioned it.

She added on her Instagram story: I will always support my children and do what I can to protect their innocence. ”

Aldeans’ comments come at a particularly difficult time for transgender youth and their parents. In February, Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered child welfare services in the state to begin investigating child abuse against trans-minor parents in treatment.

Morris and country musician Cassady Pope, among others, responded to the social media comments.

“Is it that easy to stop being a scum?” Morris wrote on Twitter. “Sell your clip-in and compress it, Riot Barbie.”

In response, Carlson dedicated part of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to the issue, calling Morris “some kind of fake country music singer”. Hosted on his show, promoting her new “Barbie-inspired line” shirt that reads, “Don’t step on our kids.”

Proceeds from the sale will support Operation Light Shine, a charity that aims to “fight domestic and international human trafficking and child sexual exploitation,” according to Aldean’s Instagram post. Sales figures have not yet been announced.
