Chiefs-Colts final injury report: Shaquille Leonard, no Mike Dana

Each practice day during the season, the Kansas City Chiefs Release an official injury report for the next game. This week, the Chiefs are scheduled to take on the Indianapolis Colts at noon Arrowhead time on Sunday.

  • Chiefs Rookie Defensive End George Karrafutis Speaks to Danna: “It’s a big loss. But our mentality is always next man up. Mike brings a lot to the table. You can do a lot to help win, but like I said, it’s the next guy.
  • According to Reid, Dana’s next man is expected to be Malik Haring: “We had more [defensive ends] Jump the 94 (Malik Hering) there and get a few reps too, than it needed to be there. ”
  • Reid also updated on Butker: “[The ankle’s] Still a little swollen, but progressing well. He’s working on his swing now, but it was a pretty good sprain. [It] It takes a little while to get a blast on him and get it all out of there. Hopefully he’s ready to go next week, but the kid [Matt] Amendola, he’s doing a great job.”
  • Colts dominated star linebacker Shaquille Leonard (back) out For the game, it’s a significant loss.Offensive lineman Bernhard Leimann (ankle) — who took snaps on his tackles for the Colts left field in both games this season — also out.
  • Chiefs right guard Trey Smith on Leonard not playing: “I can speak on our behalf. Again, they’re another NFL football team, so there’s someone out there who’s capable enough. For us, it’s really nothing.” We have to get out there and perform at a high level and pretty much do our job.”
  • Wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. (quad) and DeForest Buckner (hip) — who scored exclusive practice of the week expected to play. Wide receiver Alec Pearce has cleared the concussion protocol. DF Yannick Ngakue (back) i doubt it.
